Błogo, Ramona Nagabczyńska

Osią performansu jest stan ciąży jako wzmożone „samoczucie się od wewnątrz”. Artystka dostrzega, że bycie w ciąży przekracza jednostkowość doświadczenia i podważa wszelkie formy podmiotowości zakorzenione w naszej kulturze. Choć medykalizacja tej sfery daje złudzenie kontroli, stan ten wymyka się systemowemu porządkowi, stanowi niewiadomą, budzi niepokój. Nagabczyńska bada stan ciągłej metamorfozy i ujawnia przerażenie, jakie budzi moc reprodukcyjna kobiet. Sięga przy tym zarówno do starożytnych mitów, jak i współczesnych filmów grozy.

Performans „Błogo” jest jednym z wydarzeń otwierających sezon „Miłość i solidarność” w Pawilonie. W tegorocznym programie performatywnym skupiamy się na twórczości kobiet i osób niehetenormatywnych. Prezentujemy spektakle, które dotykają tematów cielesności, praw kobiet i mniejszości oraz walki o wolność i prawdę. Przyglądamy się zmieniającemu się teatrowi, który porzuca hierarchiczne modele teatru na rzecz pracy kolektywnej i wspólnotowej.

Performans powstał w ramach wystawy „Witkacy. Sejsmograf epoki przyspieszenia” w Muzeum Narodowym w Warszawie (kuratorzy: Zofia Machnicka, Paweł Polit). Prezentacje performansu w Poznaniu odbędą się w Klubie Tama mieszczącym się przestrzeniach Wielkopolskiej Izby Rzemieślniczej w godzinach 18:00 i 19:30.

Ramona Nagabczyńska — Choreografka, tancerka i performerka pracująca na rynku polskim i międzynarodowym. Edukację zawodową odbyła w Ogólnokształcącej Szkole Baletowej w Warszawie, w Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst we Frankfurcie nad Menem oraz w London Contemporary Dance School w Londynie. Ponadto kształciła się na Uniwersytecie SWPS oraz Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Ma w swoim dorobku pracę z reżyserami, choreografami i artystami wizualnymi z całego świata m.in. z Clod Ensemble, Davidem Wampachem, Rebeccą Lazier, Martą Ziółek, Alexem Baczyńskim-Jenkinsem, Małgorzatą Wdowik, Pauliną Ołowską i Pawłem Althamerem. Do jej prac należą m.in. New (Dis)Order (2012), Re//akumulacja (2012), performanse galeryjne The Way Things Dinge (2014) oraz Networking (2018), solo pURe (2015), MORE (2017) oraz Części ciała (2019). W latach 2016-2020 Ramona była jedną z artystek wspieranych przez europejską sieć apap Network. Dwukrotnie została wybrana do międzynarodowej sieci Aerowaves- w 2014 ze spektaklem New(Dis)Order oraz w 2020 ze spektaklem Części ciała. Jest współzałożycielką Centrum w Ruchu.

The central theme of the performance is the state of pregnancy as an intensified “inner self-sensation”. The artist notices that being pregnant transcends the singularity of experience and undermines all forms of subjectivity ingrained in our culture. Although the medicalization of this sphere gives the illusion of control, this condition escapes the systemic order, is the unknown, and evokes anxiety. Ramona Nagabczynska’s choreography explores the state of permanent metamorphosis and reveals the dismay caused by women’s reproductive power. In doing so, she draws on both ancient myths and contemporary horror films.

“Bliss” is one of the opening events of the “Love and Solidarity” season at the Pawilon. In this year’s performance program, we focus on the work of women and non-hetenormative people. We present performances that touch on themes of corporeality, women’s and minority rights, and the struggle for freedom and truth. We look at a changing theater that is abandoning hierarchical models of theater in favor of collective and community work.

Performance was created as a part of the exhibition ‘Witkacy. Seismograph of the Acceleration Age’ at the National Museum in Warsaw (curators: Zofia Machnicka, Paweł Polit). We invite you to the shows that will take place at the Tama Club located in the spaces of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Crafts in Poznań at 18:00 and 19:30.

Ramona Nagabczyńska — Choreographer, dancer and performer working in Poland and internationally. She received her professional education at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main and the London Contemporary Dance School in London. In addition, she was educated at SWPS University and the University of Warsaw. She has worked with directors, choreographers and visual artists from around the world, including Clod Ensemble, David Wampach, Rebecca Lazier, Marta Ziolek, Alex Baczynski-Jenkins, Malgorzata Wdowik, Paulina Olowska and Pawel Althamer. Her works include New (Dis)Order (2012), Re//accumulation (2012), gallery performances The Way Things Dinge (2014) and Networking (2018), solo pURe (2015), MORE (2017) and Body Parts (2019). From 2016 to 2020, Ramona was one of the artists supported by the European apap Network. She was twice selected for the international Aerowaves network-in 2014 with her performance New(Dis)Order and in 2020 with her performance Body Parts. She is a co-founder of Center in Motion.
